Description
100% Muscat Canelli (Lepard Vineyards)
Muscat Canelli is one of the oldest vinifera varieties still cultivated today. From the ancient Egyptians and Greeks to the Romans, this wine and its unmistakable aromatics is often one of the first wines that young wine drinkers often embrace. Classic exotic tropical fruit with melon, citrus and lychee flavors and a faint scent of jasmine flower. The wine is fleshy, lip-smackingly sweet and extremely quaffable. This wine was fermented in stainless steel and it has a very pure and clean varietal expression. The little bit of sweetness helps to balance part of Muscat’s inherent bitterness, which comes from the compounds responsible for its exotic aromas. Muscat Canelli can be paired with fruit based desserts, spicy curries, or even Asian cuisine.
